NDI delivers structured Digital Technology instruction in partner secondary schools, following the National Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) curriculum from Junior Secondary School 1 through Senior Secondary School 3.
Our instructors work within the school timetable, alongside the school's own staff, to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality Digital Technology lessons every week. This is not a workshop. It is a full, sustained academic programme — the same quality of instruction, every term.
Introduction to computing and digital devices
Office productivity and digital literacy
Internet safety, cybersecurity basics, and responsible digital citizenship
Programming fundamentals
Data and information management
SS-level: ICT in business, networking, and multimedia production
Technovation is NDI's advanced technology programme for students who are ready to go further. It takes students beyond the standard curriculum into the hands-on, competitive, career-relevant world of modern technology.
Students who complete Technovation have built robots, written code, designed websites, worked with data, and — in some cases — competed at state and national level. NDI established the first robotics laboratory in any secondary school in Rivers State at Okrika Grammar School.
Robotics — build, programme, and compete with real robots
Coding — Python, Scratch, and applied programming for real problems
Web Design — HTML, CSS, and the principles of building websites
Data Science — understanding, collecting, and visualising data
AI and Machine Learning — introductory AI/ML concepts and practical applications
